Announcing Soar's Rebrand

Back in December, we decided that since 2019 was going to be a big year for Soar, that we would change our look to reflect our exciting evolution. We are continuing to develop our product and we want to develop alongside it, so we made a plan to make this happen. With the help of the award-winning creative brand agency, Made Brave, we embarked on a rebranding journey.

How we got here – our rebrand journey

From the very beginning of the process, we always knew that we wanted to keep our original feel but evolve this into something more. You’ll see that we dropped the ‘CU’ from our name and we’re now known only as Soar.

This is because Soar is more than just a credit union solution, it is a solution for the whole ethical banking market. We're going to be offering what we give to credit unions, to others, and this is why we made as light change to our name. We also made changes to our logo, colours, fonts, imagery, and illustrations. Through a number of workshops hosted by Made Brave, we found our style and message, and this is how they helped us to craft our brand. You can see below that it took quite a few tries to settle on our colours!

We will also be making big changes to our website. These changes will tie in with our new branding and we’ll be adding more sections that will be even more helpful for those in the ethical space. As well as offering great products, we are also here to educate and enable success. We are going to dot his through blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and events. You might have already seen that we've already started hosting our own event, Credit Union Connect. We will be taking this around the country, showcasing our brand and educating credit unions. 

Staying true to Soar

As we mentioned, we did keep some aspects of our original branding to show that we are not changing, just evolving. This is seen through our name and you’ll notice that we still use some of our original colours.



We had lots of fun crafting the Soar message. We have always had customer service as part of our culture, and we have always believed that by working together we will achieve more. We wanted to create that same togetherness in our new brand. We have a lot of creative minds here at Soar, so we worked withMade Brave to craft a brand that felt like us. A brand that was full of trust, empathy, and confidence. 

You’ll get to know us a lot more through our message. We champion technology, innovation, and transparency and we also believe that we can build a better financial society through technological innovation. We can’t do this alone, but we can do it together. This is what we’ve set out to show the market and our new brand is going to help us achieve this.

It’s an exciting time at Soar and we’re happy to be able to share it with you. This year we are focusing on making our product even better and collaborating with even more credit unions. Keep an eye out for more Soar brand updates – we can’t wait to show you what's next!
